I give this book 3.5 stars. I bought it after reading Venomous, from the same author. I really enjoyed that book and I thought that the argument of Smolder was really promising. However, it was very disappointing finding out how little interaction the leading female and male character have with each other. The storyline is very developed but I would have appreciated a little more of romance. I wasn't expecting a cliffhanger, I thought every book was independent and I wasn't happy when I discovered that the third instalment has to be published.I really look forward to reading the story of Thunderclaw, from the book Venomous but I don't know if I'll continue with the Dragon Souls series.

It ends on a battle scene! No HEA, no idea what is going to happen or how things end between contestants or main characters. 2 stars. One for a well written partial story. One for not terrible editing or spelling errors.
She captured the essence of love that is worth dying for when two soulmates meet. Her detail and storytelling are just incredible. I literally could not put this book down, I’m off to middle to buy the next book in the series.
I am hooked !!! I am even dreaming of this beautiful, well-written, exciting, and humorous story line. As usual I received the first book free but am willing to pay to read more of this excellent story and the writing style of Ms Fletcher. Although there are a few mistakes not caught by a proofreader, they did not detract from the story except to disrupt the flow at times. Love this world she has imagined. Will definitely be read entire series. Will probably branch out into her other series. She is a great writer who has taken her place mount my favorite authors.
The more I read, the worse it got - and I'm not talking about the romance with its small tinge of a love triangle. I'm talking about the characters devolving into stereotypes (the heroine read as 16 year old drama queen) , about the Miyagi-style pearls of wisdom, stupid dialogue, and cheesy, nauseating speech at the end. There's no meat to this story. It started out good, but ended up as a dud.
I didn't want to like this book and i can't even tell you how i got to the end. lol. I kept telling myself i would stop and jsut got sucked in. This is another book tha ti picked up on impulse nad loved. Story is different. Don't think i've read anything aside from the Inheritance Cycle that's been about dragons. Even then this is so different from that. Something no one has really touched on before, or i shoul say that i haven't seen them touch on before. I read this in one night, same day I bought it was the same day i finished it and purchased the next book. I like to see where things are heading with Koen and Marina. Its an interesting relationship and while i'm not a fan of the girl having to chase a guy to this extent lol, i want to see her kick some tookus. I do hate that their relationship was so seamless, afterall he was a stranger and for it go head off that quickly..even love doesn't explain that away to me. But. romance with a bit of fantasy i like. I think its funny how she has now picked up "Boy". And wonder hwat else will be thrown her way. If you want a bit of something different i think its worth picking up.
I received this book for free. Marina sees a something fall from the sky. When she discovers a not too friendly dragon, she decides to nurse his wounds. This begins a journey of discovery for Marina, who she is, what she is and what she can do. Her heart leads her into trouble or good graces, but that's other's opinions. This ends before her story is over so some issues are not resolved in the first book.
I loved this book and the story fully deserves five stars, but the total lack of any editing forces me to grade it less. This author shows a lack of respect for her readers by putting out a book with this many errors. I would guess that there are, at the least, probably 500 mistakes throughout the book. Not only typos, but misused words and badly worded sentences. I found myself having to translate poorly written English, back into understandable English, in my head.
If the author were to edit it, I would give 5 stars easily.
